We have a wholistic approach to our work with couples.  It is our belief that marital relationships flourish when couples have built a solid foundation.  One of the ways to contribute to a healthy marriage is to spend some intentional time as a pre-marital couple exploring hopes and dreams for a future together.

The Pastoral Counselling Group offers an informative and personalized program using PREPARE (Premarital Personal and Relationship Evaluation).  The PREPARE Inventory is a 165 item questionnaire that provides an extensive profile of a couple's relationship strengths and growth areas in the following categories:

• Couple closeness
• Couple flexibility
• Family and friends
• Family closeness
• Family flexibility

• Financial management
• Leisure activities
• Marriage expectations
• Personality issues
• Role relationship
• Sexual relationship
• Spiritual beliefs

The Prepare-MC Inventory also addresses the specific concerns of couples remarrying and those who have children.

Marriage Enrichment

Any marriage can be strengthened by expanding communication, identifying areas that may be causing difficulty, provide new ways of working through problems, and improving your skills in the resolving conflict.  Using the ENRICH Inventory also based on the above 15 categories we facilitate a process to enrich your marriage.  It is also suitable for couples going through life transitions such as retirement or making a major move.

The Fee

Our fee is $45.00 for a couple to take the Inventory and $170.00 for three hours of counselling with the couple.
