BodyTalk

A synchronized approach to holistic healing.

The human body is able to create and maintain optimal health when it functions as a cohesive whole. When any aspect of the bodymind is out of balance with any other aspect, illness can occur.

BodyTalk is a form of energy medicine that is safe, and is individually tailored to meet your unique needs for restoring harmony, balance, and health.

The bodymind complex is composed of energy operating at different frequencies. The transmission of energy within us carries messages between trillions of cells, enabling the co-ordination of many synchronized activities. Examples of these activities include fighting infection, mending bones, clotting injured blood vessels, replacing cells, healing emotions, resolving mental struggles, and gaining spiritual insight. BodyTalk stimulates the body’s innate ability to balance and heal itself on all levels.

Often, the bodymind is overloaded with challenges to this synchronistic functioning.

For example, a person might experience any number of the following:

  • Digestive disturbances
  • Feeling depressed long after a loss
  • Difficulty breathing in toxic environments
  • Recurring family conflict
  • Feeling stressed and unable to sleep
  • Skin eruptions
  • Pain from old injuries

These symptoms are felt and acknowledged on a conscious level. However, hidden beneath the surface lie other factors contributing to the illness. We refer to these factors as unconscious. When a break in communication between these levels occurs, the bodymind’s restorative healing power is jeopardized.

The BodyTalk System is a comprehensive way to address these imbalances.

How Do We Do It?
The following is a step-by step procedure that you can expect in a session:

1. Ask the Body
The BodyTalk practitioner uses neuromuscular feedback to identify what is needed.

2. Linking
The practitioner asks the body what parts or aspects of the bodymind need to be linked in order to re-establish good communication and facilitate healing.

3. The Tapping Process
The practitioner gently taps the head of the client, creating an increase in brain activity in relation to the body part or the aspect highlighted. Tapping is an ancient yoga technique to direct the focus.

4. Tapping On the Heart
The practitioner taps on the chest over the sternum in order to store the new information in the form of corrected energy patterns in the heart. The heart is a central energy organizer, holding historic memory of all body systems. Tapping on the heart centre ensures the new communication and subsequent balance is held in deep memory and is therefore lasting.

5. Exaggerated Breathing
Exaggerated breathing during the tapping is encouraged by the practitioner to help the body locate and target the corrections. Inhaling scans the higher frequencies of the bodymind, including thoughts and emotions, while exhaling scans the denser frequencies of tissue, muscle, and bone.
